Crazyhappymadness. (Edit)

First of all, if you haven't heard The Flying Club Cup album by Beirut then you're seriously missing out. Go now, get it and be happy.

Secondly, write to me if you want/can care for a Boxer. My interest in fostering and generally being involved as a rescue partner has taken off right before my eyes and I'm now in possession of a list of at least five dogs ranging in ages from one to eight years old who desperately need forever homes. The most pressing of the bunch would have to be the one currently residing in my lap named Catfish. Opening up to the possibility of a foster scenario meant rapidly deciding if we could do anything for this particular pooch. I think we've decided to alter his shelter-given name though and call him Jack, just makes him seem a little less... fishy. I could also go into detail about how we chose Jack's new name due to the white stripe down his neck and a random stream of consciousness about Jack White of the band The White Stripes... but I won't. "Jack" is approx. 6yrs old and was picked up as a stray then came to us from the shelter. Still looking much too thin, but gaining back his coat and a healthier glow, he will need to go to a home where he can be the only dog or at least the only male. He seems to have some issues with his eyesight which I'll be looking into, but he's a really sweet Boxer boy who just couldn't be more mellow. We will be very busy over the next few days trying to acclimate him and the others to the best of everyone's abilities. Wish us luck!

Here's Jack!

Funny I was just listening to that Beirut album in the car today with Colin...did he give that to Hans? If not he should have cause it is awesome I agree.
How are your doggies doing with the new man in town? Hope you are able to find a good and happy home for dear Jack.

If I lived in the area, or in my own house... I would love to talk to you about a boxer... alas. Maybe someday.

Thanks to you both! Things are going well actually, Jack and Lucca like one another which is nice, but Miles and Jack will not be able to hang out together with great ease. Miles is the most emotionally attached to me and even though he knows his place around here he's struggling a little with the new man in my lap. We've had an inquiry from Canada already and maybe that will work out?

S- No, Colin didn't give Beirut to us. He should have, but he didn't. I actually told Hans to make sure Colin had it which makes this especially funny. Good stuff!
