My own Craigslist ad... and read on for GIVEAWAY details!

We have several things to cover this evening and the first of which is the fact that obviously none of you are a shaman or healer of any kind. While you have offered me lovely well-wishings and tidings of great health (some of you didn't bother to write them, but I trust you were thinking them just the same), I'm still sick and therefore you are all fired as my personal magic-wielding, wizard-type physicians. There is a great river of green deliciousness flowing through my nasal passages and my head is so near exploding I can see into the future and what it will be like if I die from a rapidly plummeting plane.

Otherwise, things are good actually.

Thanks to not being able to breath all night I was up bright and early (son of a...) with plenty of time to take my firstborn to his appointment before work. Mr. Miles had a visit to his favorite vet today to evaluate the changes of his skin anomalies. Our poor guy is on Prednisone to keep him comfy from an otherwise very painful "mystery rash" (just one of his many delightful health problems), but lately he's been having some really significant break-through staph episodes and I wanted to see if some antibiotics were in order again. Still perplexing and without a cure, we left the vet after I dropped a chunk of change and collected a round of antibiotics to try for the next two to three weeks on the skin issue. Miles was happy though as his doctor and doctor's office is just about the best place in the world as far as he's concerned. Everyone loves my boy at Dr. P's office and he loves everyone DOUBLY right back, mostly because they give him cookies I think. I capped off our special outing with a run through the coffee stand for more free canine cookies and a chai tea for me (with soy to help sort of combat the mucous beasts).

Upon arriving home from work this evening I discovered a surprise on my doorstep! Hark, what's this?!?!? My PRIZE from Slynnro! Yippee, what could it be!?!??!

Fragile? Flat? Hmmm...
Small glass animal figurines???
Oh, I know!
Glass stir sticks, probably those ones I was really wanting with the pink flamingos on the top!
OR, maybe it's a MacGuyver tool!?!?! Something small and sneaky for escaping...

Nope! It's prettier than that!

So sweet! Thank you Stara, I can't believe you sent me such a super sweet necklace. I solemnly swear to pay if forward as instructed. So get ready people, the rules were that if you win you have to turn around and give something away in return which means it's now time for a giveaway whether I'm ready or not! What shall I give away you ask? ...hmmm

NO! Not the trailer. Geesh. I was teasing. The trailer is actually the last bit of exciting news before the giveaway details because stringing you along is AWESOME. Check out the scene we arrived home to tonight. This lot was a total and complete eyesore for the past six months (as long as we've lived in this community) and just this past month or so the property has been slowly transformed to make way for the removal of this P.O.S. double wide and the building of a new house. Score. You can't see this lot from our house, but this lot is at THEE entrance to the neighborhood so everyone has to look at it's nasty state whether they like it or not when you come and go. I'll keep you posted because this is a canine concern as well, every time we walk past this lot (even though there are never people visibly present) the dogs get creeped out and give us an uneasy vibe. ALL of us will be happy for the change.

NOW, on to your prize! The winner of this giveaway will receive a handmade journal from Sidney Ann House of Design.

This is THEE journal and it's on it's way to me soon... she doesn't even know I've ordered it up for you yet! (Hurry Sid!) In any case, you have to work for this beauty because it's pretty stink'n sweet. Sidney made this set of journals from an old leather jacket and I've loved them and wished for one myself. Since it's better to give than to receive, it will be one lucky reader's instead. All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me about an irrational fear that you have. You know, teddy bears make you terrified or green jelly beans give you nightmares. We all have at least one... I swear we do. If you're having a hard time with the irrational part then just tell me one of your fears and then I'll sit back and imagine you all writing about them in your new journal! The winner's name will be drawn at random on Saturday July 19th which gives you plenty of time to drum up some more press for entries. Go on, spread the word and happy entering!

How fun! I love all the contests people have been doing lately. Maybe this is a clue that I should stop being lazy and do one..

Anyways, my irrational fears (yes fears.. I'm very irrational): that my dogs will have gotten out of our fence and run over during the day while I was at work, still have a slight fear of the dark (hi I'm five) and I am always afraid if we leave the dogs outside when it's dark they will get in a bloody fight with a raccoon. lol

Okay, my irrational fear is that some day my big sis will run out of sugar cubes for me to steal and then what will I do?
Can't wait to see who wins.

Is it an irrational fear to be afraid of the monsters in the closet and under the bed? If so, that is mine.

I have a fear of people touching my knees. Bizarre, I know.

My (only somewhat in my opinion) irrational fear is of spiders crawling on my face while I am asleep. My current (but not for long) residence is full of spiders, and I've found two in my bed; so now I dream about spiders crawling all over me. Not fun!

This is totally irrational, and very much related to my over-active imagination and being taunted continually by my big brother as a kid.

I could never swim in the deep end of a swimming pool alone, ESPECIALLY at night, because I was afraid a shark would sneak up through that drainage hole in the bottom and eat me.

Ummmmmmm, my irrational fear is of dolls coming to life. Yes, like Chucky. It's embarrassing... and totally irrational! *lol*

First time here (linked from SLynnRo's site). Beautiful prizes, both the one you won and the one you are offering!

I have two irrational fears:

1. Those pointy things people stick memos on. If there is one on someone's desk I become fixated on it, willing it to NOT poke my eye out.

2. Bowling balls. I envision my fingers getting stuck in the holes, thereby hurtling me down the (lane?) toward the pins and my untimely death.

This is so fun! I love when people do these. Hmm irrational fear.... well ever since the car crash we got into a few months ago every time I have to break and someone is behind me I imagine them slamming into the back of my car.

That and I'm always freaking out cause I think people are looking at my toes and judging me cause I ALWAYS wear flip-flops. :)

I have a very specific fear of milk and other dairy products (though it's mostly to do with MILK) from someone else's house. I can't drink milk that isn't from my own refrigerator.

I am afraid of the spinning rims on the 'cars that go boom'.

It always makes me so scared that when they are stopped...they are actually still MOVING! And they are going to plow through the intersection and mangle my car/children in a horrific accident.

So, I don't like spinning rims. Heh.

Sharks! And I scuba dive, so this ia really bad fear to have.

I have an irrational fear of blue M&Ms. Seriously. I have to pick them all out if I eat M&Ms. Definitely can't eat them.

I have many, LOL.... I hate going to the grocery store and buying the 1st item on the shelf.. I have a fear that everyone (and their mother) has touched the box, or carton and I don't want thier germ... So, I need to pick like the 4th or 5th item back to ensure cleanliness... Gee - I sound a little wierd now that I said it aloud... Oh Well...I guess it could be worse...

My biggest fear is squirrels, but maybe that's not irrational. They could be rabid or something, right?
But I can't even look at them through a window without getting VERY uncomfortable.
