Lazy tattoo Sunday...

Tattoo day was finally here so, we started the day off with a FANtAbUlOuS brunch in the city with our besties and finally got the chance to meet miss Jamie's lovely boyfriend whom we liked allot! He's super delicious actually cuz he's very good to her... this picture perfectly depicts them right now though because Jamie is so giddy all the time about being in-lurv!

When she holds still though, she's super pretty...

And then I beat everyone at mimosa drinking and filled my belly with eggs and potatoes.
The End.

WAIT!

The tattoo pics! Actually, I didn't realize until after I uploaded these that we're missing a full upright shot of my back with the outline done, but you'll have to wait for that because I'm all covered up for the night and have no intentions of starting that saran wrap process all over again. Sorry!
I'm in love with the piece though, I made a bunch of changes from my original plan just in the last week or two and then let the tattoo artist put his own spin on the final draft all of which were excellent decisions. Three months ago I didn't think I could (pain wise) handle the size and bulk that I really wanted, but eventually (with some encouragement and sense-making from my husband) I just decided to go for it and make it happen. Ouch, ouch, ouch, but I was told that I did really well and held super still (that is money saving people, hold still and your tattoo artist works FASTER!).

These are basically at the halfway point...

We're going with the big piece I showed you a few weeks ago only with some edits to the edges and bottom, it needed to wrap around my existing piece and have more flow to it. Also, the white will be my skin and the pale color in this copy will be black... a negative space thing. Everything else we changed, you'll have to wait and see.

OH MY GOODNESS!! It looks sooooo AWESOME! I can't wait to see more of it!!! This makes me want to get moving on my (much smaller) tattoo. I can't handle the pain of a piece as big as yours. Wish I could... but I can't.

Thanks guys!!! I'm pretty excited about it, but it totally helps that you're enthusiastic too! I was in a crazy mental state, letmetellyou... there were several moments of "going primal" to get through some of that pain. I'm so proud to have finished this much already and I cannot wait to see the finished product. All of my upcoming sessions are within the next seven weeks and I may not even need all those visits, we'll see. By the time Summer is really here I'll be obsessing over a bathing suite that shows off my pretty new piece! Woot!
