We be lazy...

Lucca loves "heater packs." I received two different types for my birthday and he thinks they're for him. Probably doesn't help that I oblige him by doing the above. He kinda deserved it though, today was grooming day. I made a huge to-do list this morning and cleaning our stinky pups was most definitely on that list. Both of the little boys received baths and Lucca had to endure the FURminator and a nail trimming as well. He's so soft and lovely now though... swoon. Seriously though, I highly recommend that deshedding tool. My Mom purchased one for her Pug and I've been able to just pop over and borrow it without having to purchase one myself. So far it works really well for even our short coated guys.

Yesterday, my birthday, was fun... I did struggle to keep up as the day went on (often daydreaming of being in my pajamas and crawling back in to bed), but I really enjoyed all of the extended family that came up to visit for Easter and I can't say enough for all the work my parents did to create a special birthday dinner for us. Hans and I exchanged Easter baskets when we first got up in the morning (can you say LOOT) and then I had a mimosa (through a straw) around 10am. Yum! One of the best parts of our day was busting out the tiny box of temporary tattoos and making everyone pick a tattoo as a party favor to wear around. Mine was applied at home before we left, but eventually my Aunt was wearing a sun on her forehead, my Mom had a tribal design on her ankle, Hans and Mary were sporting arm bands while Jacque and Annmarie posted to show off their ankle and hip art.

It's been raining cats and dogs here for most of the day so, our focus is on the promised sun later in the week which will make it a great deal more fun to be trouncing around Portland. I was just told about Otto's Sausage Kitchen in Portland and instructed to check it out while we're down there this week, anyone familiar with the joint? Sounds divine...

I've never heard of a family giving each other temporary tattoos for Easter, but that sounds fun! Hope you had a nice holiday weekend! :)

The FURminator??? That sounds so incredibly awesome! I was expecting to lick on the link and see that it costs $50 or something. But its totally affordable and appears to be on sale with Amazon! SCORE one for us! We badly need to get Rocco's shedding under control. Especially with baby almost here. Thanks for the link.

Looks like you guys had an awesome Easter! Hmmm... Mimosas. Next year, Colleen. Next year.
