How have I not talked to you in TWO days?

Well, because...
We've been to the beach with friend Annmarie and her pooches and then to the farmer's market where the weather was spectacular, but the pickings were slim.

Stuck at home waiting on the cable company to hook us up with some devil-tube and then rearranging furniture as a result.

We were very busy yesterday afternoon helping this pretty girl get all prettied up for her first ever Homecoming dance.

Sister Jacque was lucky enough to have her friend Gabe flown up from California to go as her date since she doesn't really know anyone at her current school well enough yet. These kids were a bundle of energy as they buzzed around my parent's house doing hair and make up and receiving seventytrillion text messages from the other attendees they would be meeting for dinner. I had to make myself a cocktail to cope, but I had a great time being around them after that and especially when it came to taking some photos...

I heard from my Mom this morning that they all had an absolute blast last night and of course, everyone made it home safely so I can relax now. How lucky my sister is to have the gumption to go to a dance like that and to really enjoy every bit of it. I wouldn't set foot on the dance floor at her age and I was just totally awkward looking/feeling around kids my age. I wish I had been able to enjoy an event like that, but at the same time, I'm able to do that now so that's what matters right? I've grown, I've stretched myself, I've found the confidence to shake my butt-butt if I feel like it and I'm sure Jacque is a part of bringing me out in that way. I love you hon, looking forward to Prom!
