Dashing through the snow...

Yesterday we braved more of this...

and traveled across the water where ferries looked more like pirate ships...

to share a meal with the entire family in celebration of Christmas!

So, this meal was not what we all expected. Despite the fact that you have your own personal chef karate chopping your food and cooking it up right in front of your face the flavor was lacking and they totally held back performance wise because it was "lunch" and apparently lunch customers aren't worthy of actual fire in their onion volcanoes. Weird. Other than tossing a few shrimp tails in his hat and cracking a ton of jokes, our chef/waiter just didn't produce a meal that made me want to order anything other than sushi next time. I always enjoy my family and I think for the kids there were enough "dramatics," but I felt like I ate a a mediocre meal that my Dad payed too much for. Kind of a bummer, but as I said, we still enjoyed one another very much!

I don't know why, but these babies are always the most photogenic, here's before and after lunch snaps...

For all the fussing I just did over our family meal, my drinks at PF Chang's were delightful when we stopped to wish Miss Jamie a happy birthday on the way home! Hans and I had a quick visit at her pre-dinner cocktail hour while the rest of the family scattered about the mall to finish up some last minute shopping. Our entourage (eight large bodies crammed into a Jeep Commander, oi) left the city just in time for the snow to start adding up again. This morning we woke up to another 2-3'' of the whie stuff and it's back to work on holiday prep, perhaps some cookie baking down the street?

What are you all working on as the holiday approaches? Are you ready?

Looks like good times.

Lots of family time is what we're squishing in. And today I shopped till I dropped (all on me, because I'm greedy like that! *lol*). I'm done all the Christmas shopping/wrapping, so I'm relaxed and happy!
