A very normal day...

Husband brought me flowers last night (finally) because I begged... it's not as much fun to have to beg, but it's always lovely to receive flowers! Thank you husband for not being so stubborn that you made me wait another YEAR on account of my whining! I won't bring it up again. Oh, who am I kidding, of course I will. That is, unless they keep coming...

That little yellow pile of crafty bits is a second garland I'm working on made of crepe paper and I'm addicted to this fabulous material ever since seeing something similar in a decor blog. IT'S SO BLOODY CHEAP!

Speeeeeaking of bloody...
The knife? Well, it's just awesome. I think the flowers are somewhat related to the knife though. You see, after we returned from the store the other night, husband left the ginormous box of frozen turkey necks outside (a common practice until they thaw enough to be separated). Unfortunately, they were forgotten until the next day at which time I found them in a POOL OF BLOOD upon arriving home for my very brief lunch break and had no choice but to get to work QUICKLY separating the necks and bagging them up by myself. I also had to clean the patio... not cool. Rushed bloody meat mess = bad. Flowers = good.

Other good things? My hairdryer taken apart in an attempt to make it last longer only to put it back together with one less part than originally attached. I'm sure we didn't need that bit anyway.

Or did we?

Ooooooooh, very pretty flowers. I love how wildflowery they look. Makes me want to go running through meadows!!

PS: I have been using the same hairdryer since... get this... the 1980's! SERIOUSLY. I need to buy a new one. I just cannot bring my(cheap)self to throw away a perfectly good vintage hairdryer that still works. *lol*

what's that garland for?

Haha, I've never heard of anyone taking apart their blow dryer before. I'm sure that extra part was purely ornamental :)
