Ho Hum. Hurry up weekend, come.

The last six days can suck it. I've been trying to rest and feel better the last few days but we've also been juggling a bit and gearing up for hopefully more enjoyable weeks to come. My poor friends have been experiencing a terrible move/first house purchase so, we've been on edge for them from a distance and hope they're sleeping safe and sound by now in their new home!

Happy Birthday to Rachel and Audrey!
Both of these birthday girls normally have fabulous Etsy shops so, keep an eye on them for when they are back up and running! Rachel's lip balms are the BEST EVER and Audrey makes a kick-ass screen printed t-shirt...

Hey Sarah, remember how you asked me about the side view mirror on our car and wondered what kind of car I drive? The answer is, an expensive one! It's not that the price tag was such because we bought it used and got a great deal, but we have the WORST car karma in the history of the world so no matter what we buy it inevitably has expensive mechanical failures. Even our Toyota 4Runner (a Toyota people, they're supposed to run forever, right?) had to have a new engine put in around 100, 000 miles. Nuts. Last Wednesday we took our Mini in for an "oil change" and we still don't have it back... the total has come to $613.20 as it turns out that a seal in the thermostat housing(?) failed, causing a coolant leak that we noticed just by chance (thankfully). I wouldn't trade our Mini for anything, but my goodness if it isn't one of the silliest things to have a BMW made vehicle with PLASTIC ENGINE PARTS!!! The logic? I don't know. I still love that little car though and I can't wait to have it back!

So what else tainted the last six days? Hans' "haircut." Normally my little stud muffin starts his own haircuts because it's just an all over buzz with the clippers at home using a half inch attachment, then I show up and clean things up for him. Tragedy struck our house last night when the clippers fell apart during the "Hans part" of the haircut. After malfunctioning on his head Hans put them back together angrily and started right up again buzzing the top of his head, but he had forgotten to put the attachment back on (you know, the part that keeps the length how you want it). Needless to say the 1/2'' cut turned into a total SHAVE. My poor guy was SO upset and as I'm sitting on the couch in the other room, completely unaware of what happened, I hear... "I have a problem and there is NO SOLUTION." After sneaking a peak around the corner I DIED laughing at his clown cut and somber demeanor. A nice big chunk practically down to the skin was running along the top of his head. He still hasn't totally recovered from the shock of his new look, but I think he looks lovely now that the whole thing is cleaned up nice and short. Will hope to have a picture for you soon when he stops being so sensitive. That will likely involve me NOT LAUGHING ANYMORE though... no promises.

ahg, I can totally imagine the sad somber face of a man who just failed at haircutting...and I kind of love it. This made me laugh, louldy at my office! Thank you, and post some pictures of the newly shorn manly!

Happy haircut, Hans. The internerds hope the scissors don't slip... whoops, it's an asymmetrical cut this time!

You guys have NOT been having good luck lately!

I don't know much about cars, but I think they're ripping you off on that oil change :)

Poor Hans! Gotta make sure the guard is on next time. At least tell me you took pictures! hehe, just kidding...
