Last minute crafting...

That little hair piece that I made last night should tie my dress and shoes together perfectly which I'm wearing to the wedding on Friday while I'm away. The ornament measures about 4''x5'' and has a vintage earring and button atop three colors and textures of tulle as well as some feathers of course. It's all attached to a pretty heavy duty hair pin which had a jewel-y dragonfly on the end and thus was never worn. The dragonfly provided a texture and stability for the bulk of the weight though which redeemed it's previous hideousness. My dress is a sort of peach and cream stripe pattern and the shoes are predominantly brown patent leather with a cream piping so... needed some brown accessories up top. I'm bringing a light scarf/shawl for over the shoulders or just around the neck if needed, but with the forecast stating eighty degrees with eighty percent humidity, I'm not liable to need any clothes where I'll be.

By 1pm tomorrow I'll be missing this guy very much. Love you baby, have a great week away from work and try to remember to feed the dogs while I'm gone! XO

Nice work there, kiddo! The next best thing to that clip would be to actually grow your own feathers. I would rather have feathers than hair any day of the week. But then I'd probably have you make me some sort of clip with hair on it. So... in the end, maybe I'll just stick with what I've got.
